Obituary for Charles D. "Charlie" Schwerm

Born to Eternal Life November 5, 2016, age 85 years. Beloved husband for 62 years of Virginia A. (nee Czecholinski). Dear father of Michael (Suzanne) and the late Ron Schwerm. Grandpa Charlie to Erin Schwerm and Evann (Ryan) Derus. Great-Grandpa Charlie to Jonas Roehl and Jonas' brother Tristan Roehl. Fond brother of Tess (Willard) Haeuser and the late LaVerne (the late Arthur) McGurty. Brother-in-law of Theresa (the late Robert) Trede and the late Syl (the late Phil) Haberman. Uncle Charlie was dearly loved by nieces, nephews, great and great-great. Also survived by other relatives and many friends. Charles served in the US Marines during the Korean War. He joined the Wauwatosa Police Department in 1957 and retired from the Youth Aide Bureau in 1990.

Visitation Saturday, Dec. 10, 9-10:30 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 8200 W. Denver Ave., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. A luncheon will be held after Mass. Private inurnment St. Catherine of Alexandria Cemetery. Memorials to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Bernadette Parish would be appreciated.
