William Alden Little of Mequon, WI passed away peacefully on March 8, 2018 at the age of 79. Survivors include his loving wife, Judy (nee Joyce) of 40 years. Dear father of Catharine (Brian) Prucyk (nee Lang), James (Cheri) Lang, Elizabeth (Andrew) Burton (nee Little), Margaret Lang, Jennifer (Dane) Delfosse (nee Little), and Jennifer Lang. Proud grandfather of James, Jimmy, Andrew, Christopher, Charlotte, Joey, Audrey, Matthew, Phoebe, Nathan, and Macy. Fond brother of Stephen (Barbara) Little. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Bill’s career was in the insurance business. For 20 years he owned his own agency, Fringe Benefit Planning. Upon retiring he divided his time between Mequon, Charlevoix, MI, and Vero Beach, FL. An enthusiastic boater, he had several sailboats and finally was the Captain of a trawler, “Stirling” which he took on many adventures.
Bill was a loving husband, devoted father, true friend. The quiet strength and uncomplaining courage with which he confronted his illness was an inspiration to his family and friends.
The family would like to thank the health workers and caregivers of Stowell Associates, Newcastle nursing facility and Horizon hospice for their personal and compassionate care and for making Bill’s last years comfortable.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, March 15 from 2 PM to 4 PM with a memorial service at 4 PM.
